Dear GFC Family,

With the recommended closing of school districts to combat the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic, and in conjunction with recommendations from our parent organizations, Kentucky Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer, the Board of Directors at GFC has decided to cancel all club related activities effective immediately until April 6th. This plan coincides with local area school closings. Our current plan will see our competitive and recreational teams return to normal training on April 6th. We will continue to follow CDC, State, and Local Public Health Officials’ recommendations going forward and will reevaluate the situation as necessary. If the situation changes, and we can return to the field sooner, then we will update the club community accordingly. During this break our coaching staff will be hard at work on various professional development activities, as well as communicating with players about their individual development plans. As a club we have an important social responsibility to follow recommended public health guidelines to limit the spread of the virus to vulnerable members of our community. Let’s focus on taking care of our family members while being compassionate and supportive community members during this difficult time
