GFC is Scott County's home for Recreational Soccer.
Recreational soccer is about one thing: FUN! We want our players to learn the game of soccer in a fun and safe environment. We equip our volunteer coaches with age-appropriate activities that help their players on game day. USSF Certified coaches will also receive a fee waiver for their players. Please contact us if you are interested in taking one of the courses.
Want your player to get a head start on learning the game of soccer? Our Kickstart program is led by a licensed GFC coach that will help your players get an early start on ball mastery, gross motor skill development, and taking the first steps away from parents and onto the playing field.
The Kickstart program meets once weekly and players must be registered to join in on the fun.
Is your player ready to give soccer a try? Our 6U Recreational Soccer provides players the opportunity to learn the game through a mix of fun activities and game days. The focus for our players is to have fun while learning the fundamental foot skills.
Our games are 4v4 (no goalkeepers) to be sure that all players are involved in the game and getting their chance to score a goal! Practices are held one weeknight based on coach/field availability. Games will primarily be scheduled on Saturdays. Our 6U players will be on the field for about two hours per week.
Is it too late for my player to give soccer a try? It’s never too late! Our 8U Recreational Soccer builds on what our players have already learned, and we will be sure your player catches up on the basics of the game. Our 8U program is based on fun games and activities to learn the game and then we give all our players a chance to shine on game day!

Some of our players at age seven and eight, move into our Pre-Academy or Academy. These programs are designed for our players that want to take their soccer to the next level. Learn more by visiting our Academy Soccer page.
GFC partners with other clubs in central Kentucky to offer an Inter-club league. This provides some new competition for our GFC teams and all games either at our home field or a short drive from Georgetown.
If you're looking for more than recreational soccer but not ready to commit to a full competitive season, we will provide the opportunity of weekly training sessions led by our coaching staff and assisted by our Select players. The sessions will help players improve their gross motor skills and technical ability with ball mastery, passing, shooting, and 1v1 activities. The goal is to improve competence and confidence on the ball. We hope to build a love for the game of soccer in a low-pressure environment.
